Android O/S is originally designed for use with mobile devices, so running the mobile versions of web pages will be faster than running regular desktop web pages. There are multiple Internet browser modes which can be used, depending on your preferences. To set the browser mode from Desktop Mode to Android Mode, or vise versa please follow the instructions below; Select the web browser icon and click on the Menu button on the remote. A menu will appear on the bottom of the screen. Select the option More from this menu and then select Settings. A new screen should appear. Select Set Browser Type from this screen to change between browser types. Default browser type is Desktop. If you want to have the full desktop browser experience please download Opera Mobile or Dolphin Browser from the Android Market. These 3rd party browsers have been optimised for faster web surfing than the default one supplied with Android player. |
Please use the solution as shown above regarding desktop and android mode, or download the Youtube app from Android Market. |
Unfortunately current Android players on the market do not support this feature at this time. |
Please click the button on the bottom left corner of the keyboard to type in English as shown in the example below. A firmware fix will be coming soon. ![]() |
You have to create a google account ”GMAIL” to access the Android Market. You can create one on the Android player or PC. If you already have a google account you can sign-in with that. |
Yes but navigating through websites will be very slow and cumbersome. We strongly recommend you purchase a USB or wireless USB keyboard and mouse such as the SUMVISION Paradox Touch or SUMVISION AIR mouse to surf the Internet |
Yes you can use the iPlayer with the stock Android Browser.
Load ‘Browser’ In the browser menu, click settings. Scroll down to Advanced Settings Click Set Browser Type Select Froyo-N1 Unfortunately the BBC iPlayer app on the market is not optimised to run on the Cyclone Android and currently give poor playback performance. |
Under certain conditions, a bug may occur with the device that may cause the player to continuously loop its boot sequence when reverting back to factory default settings. Our team of engineers are currently working on a new firmware to fix this issue. To work around this issue you will need a copy of the player’s firmware in the root directory of an SD card and a paper clip or similar apparatus. It is also advised to perform this procedure in a well lit room. First of all, switch the player off and pull the power from the device. Please ensure that your player is connected to your TV set and the power is unplugged (it is advised to connect via HDMI). Insert the SD card and turn the device upside down.
You will see two silver stickers labelled “Reset” and “Update” on the left-hand side. Under the shell of the device you should be able to see two white buttons on the circuit board. Use the paperclip to press and hold the button nearest the “Update” sticker. Now plug in the power.
The firmware update screen should appear after a few moments. Select “wipe/data/factory reset”. You will be given a list of No and Yes options. Select “Yes --- delete all your user data”
Select “wipe cache partition”.
When these steps have been taken select the reboot option to restart the device. You should now be able to return to the Android launcher. |
To solve this issue switch off your Cyclone Android media centre and pull the power jack out of its port. Wait for approximately 10 seconds before plugging the power jack back into the power port. When selecting the Wi-Fi option the word “error” should no longer appear. Activate the Wi-Fi functionality, select your home network and enter your network password. |
