  • Why the Sumvision Cyclone Micro 3 is using mini USB port instead standard USB port?

Reason why because the Micro 3 requires to be use as HOST/DEVICE. Only way it can be done is using the mini USB, normal USB cannot be done.

Acting as a DEVICE.

Using a DATA cable you can connect Micro 3 to a PC and transfer data, like a storage device (pen drive).

Acting as a HOST.

Using a HOST cable you can connect and play contents from any USB storage device's to the MICRO 3 media player.


  • Does the Micro 3 auto power up now?

Yes the Micro 3 auto power up when you plug in the power cable at the back. You can still go into standby mode by pressing the standby button on the remote.
  • Can the Micro 3 auto play movies when powering up without using the menu system?

Yes you can auto play movies. You need to create a folder called AUTOPLAY on the storage device i.e Pendrive using the PC.
Then transfer the movies into the folder, Plug storage device into Micro 3, start up the Micro 3.
Go to setting menu, select SYSTEM and select AUTOPLAY ON.
Restart the Micro 3 and it should auto play the movie inside the folder.
"Unfortunately the current firmware does not support AUTOPLAY with the internal flash drive of the Micro 3, there will be fix in the future firmware"

  • I’ve setup the Micro 3, but why can’t I view some of my movies?

There are a large number of audio and video codecs available on the market and not all are compatible when paired with each other.
If you are experiencing difficulties with playback of files, please ensure that the video and audio components are compatible.
For example an avi file could have Xvid for video and mp3 for audio. This combination would work and you would have no issue with playback.
However an Xvid for video with AAC HC for audio would not work and it is unlikely that you would be able to playback this movie file.
